NDSS - Keeping down the cost of chronic illness
The National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) is an Australian Government initiative, which provides a range of subsidised blood glucose and urine testing reagents, syringes and insulin pen needles for people with diabetes. Diabetes Australia - Vic is the agent for this scheme in Victoria.
As part of our strategy to increase accessibility to products and services for people with diabetes, we have developed a number of different ways in which people can purchase diabetes products.
To be eligible for NDSS subsidised products register on the scheme. This can be done by completing an NDSS Registration Form having the form signed by your medical doctor and returning your form to Diabetes Australia - Vic. Once the details on your form have been verified, an NDSS registration card will be issued to you.
Keep your NDSS card in your wallet, as you will need it when ordering products in the future. You only need to register once.
