Program delivery
Methods
The program uses collaborative methodology to implement a continuous quality improvement cycle.
Continuous quality improvement cycle

Facilitator feedback report
Facilitators are given periodic feedback reports with graphs showing how they perform against their peers for a number of biomedical and anthropometric average measurements taken from their group participants. An example of a feedback report is illustrated below.
Participants' waist circumference reduction between session 1 and session 5: data from 10 facilitators' group

Discussion
Using collaborative methodology provides:
- improved program participation and completion rates
- feedback reports for facilitators to compare individual progress with peers
- reports illustrating results from the following measures obtained from participants:
- waist circumference
- weight
- body mass index
- physical activity
- fat and fibre barometer score
- opportunities to share and learn new ways of improving program delivery
- collaborative solutions to specific program delivery problems.
Implications for program delivery and practice
Including a continuous quality improvement cycle in program design is a strong foundation for successful program delivery.
